Overview

The brief was to design an online store that allows users to quickly and easily find products tailored to their specific needs while maintaining a seamless, high-end shopping experience. Beyond usability, the project required establishing a convincing luxury brand identity for a bespoke audio system company - one that feels premium, modern, and technically refined.

Deliverables

The work involved creating distinctive branding visuals, directing product photography, and designing all necessary web and app interfaces to deliver an on-brand, cohesive experience across digital touchpoints. The platform needed to support express checkouts, device-specific and alternative payment options, clearly presented returns and warranty information, and intelligent product suggestions to encourage further exploration.

Given the option to create a responsive website, web app, or native mobile app, I chose to design a responsive web app with a mobile-first approach, ensuring accessibility, speed, and a consistent luxury experience across all devices.

Branding

Waves needed a distinctive identity to stand out in the competitive world of high-end audio systems. I developed a cohesive visual language that reflects sophistication and craftsmanship, combining product design with realistic branding mockups to bring the brand to life.

The aesthetic draws on elevated natural tones of grey and brown, complemented by subtle gold accents that convey warmth, refinement, and a sense of understated luxury.

Mobile Wireframes

High Fidelity Wireframes

I designed nine responsive screens covering the full user journey — from the landing page through product search, product listings, and the checkout process. Each screen was created with a mobile-first mindset, ensuring a consistent, premium experience across all devices and touchpoints.
